GTAW welding rod for Aluminium and Aluminium Alloys Aluminium -Silicon

Rod for GTAW welding of Al-Mg-Si alloys with a maximum of 2% alloying elements and for aluminum alloys containing up to 7% Si. It exhibits low sensitivity to weld cracking when used with 6000 series base alloys. With a lower melting point and increased fluidity (attributed to its silicon content), it provides better weld appearance compared to 5000 series filler alloys.

However, the resulting weld metal is not suitable for decorative anodising purposes. This rod finds applications in general construction and the automotive industry. It is recommended for use with Ar, He, pure, and mixed shielding gases.
