Warehouse & Administration
Ottoway, Adelaide SA
Are you a pro at keeping things organised, a whiz with paperwork, and ready to be the hero behind the scenes? We’re looking for a Warehouse Administrator to join our fantastic team!
If you love a role where no two days are the same, this is for you. You’ll be the crucial link that makes everything happen, ensuring that every order gets out the door smoothly and on time. You won’t just be pushing papers—you’ll be working closely with our dynamic Sales and Service teams to ensure our clients get the absolute best welding solutions they need, every time.
Why SMENCO?
At SMENCO, we take care of our own. We offer a collaborative work environment with room for personal and professional growth. We have been the sole importer of Fronius Welding for 20+ years and represent many other international leading brands of welding in Australia.
The Role:
The Warehouse Administrator provides essential admin support and inventory management. This role involves close collaboration with the sales and service teams to ensure clients receive the best possible solutions.
Looking to level up?
While this role manages warehousing administration, the warehouse portion of the role itself is minimal. We are heavily prioritising industry knowledge and sales experience over pure warehouse background. If you bring solid industry experience, we are ready to level up your role into a hybrid Admin/Sales position. (Note: Our main warehouses are located in VIC and QLD).
Success with SMENCO will be:
- Admin Support: Handle a variety of administrative tasks including processing service orders and assisting with customer inquiries.
- Inventory & Order Management: Receive, organise, and maintain accurate system records. Pick, pack, and dispatch orders efficiently whilst tracking booked shipments.
- Handling Equipment: Safely operate pallet lifters, hand trucks, and forklifts (with proper certification).
- Team Player: Be flexible and ready to assist with other duties as needed, communicating clearly with your team.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are specifically seeking a suitable candidate who has industry experience and is looking to transition ‘off the tools’, or someone coming from a similar background in admin/sales.
- Industry Knowledge: Prior experience or strong familiarity with the welding/industrial sector is highly preferred over heavy warehousing experience.
- The Right Attitude: You’ll need to be a patient person and an excellent listener (and yes, a sense of humor helps!).
- Forklift License: Must possess a valid forklift license.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in entering data with high attention to detail.
- Organisational Whiz: Someone who thrives in a multitasking environment, prioritising effectively and keeping themselves organised.
Smenco’s Perks:
- We sweeten the deal with a competitive salary, superannuation, and all the cool tech you need to shine
- Career Growth: We’re big on helping our existing team develop and reach their full potential (especially if you want to flex those industry sales skills!).
- Become part of a team where collaboration isn’t just a buzzword – it’s how we roll, we live it every single day!
