The Future of Respiratory Protection
The Optrel Swiss Air is more than just a respirator. It’s the world’s first powered air half-mask respirator that doesn’t require a fit-test, delivering TH3-certified protection with 99.8% filtration efficiency against airborne particles like dust, smoke, and aerosols.
With its lightweight blower unit worn in a backpack-style harness, the Swiss Air reduces breathing resistance and fatigue, keeping you comfortable for long shifts. It automatically adapts airflow to environmental conditions and offers up to 14 hours of battery life so you can focus on your work, not your equipment.
Quick-Start Guide
Step 1: Charge the Battery
Plug in the USB-C charger until the green light shows it’s fully charged. Charging can be done with the battery in or out of the unit.
Step 2: Insert the Filters
Fit the spark guard first, followed by the pre-filter and finally the main TH3 particle filter. Ensure each one is seated correctly for maximum protection.
Step 3: Assemble the Unit
Attach the half-mask to the Y-hose and fit the harness to your body size (XS–XL) using the velcro straps. Adjust the harness so the blower unit rests comfortably across your chest.
Step 4: Fit the Mask
Pull the mask over your mouth and nose, clip it into the Y-hose and secure the headband. Adjust the drawstring under your chin and tighten the straps until it feels snug but comfortable.
Step 5: Power On and Adjust
Use the controller or power button to turn the system on. Adjust the airflow to your preference and check battery and filter status. If you don’t have a controller, press and hold the power button to cycle through airflow levels.
Step 6: Understand the Alarms
The Swiss Air will alert you if the battery is low, a filter is clogged or missing or airflow is insufficient. Always respond to alarms before starting work.
Step 7: Daily Check and Clean
Inspect the filters, mask, hoses and battery before use. Wipe down the blower and hoses with a clean cloth, allow to air dry and store in a dry, clean place.
Step 8: Deep Maintenance
Hand-wash components with warm water and mild soap, avoiding harsh chemicals. Replace filters when alerted and never reuse them. Replace the O-ring annually and arrange a full service every two years.
